Vigilantes in La Chaussee-Saint-Victor, France rang in New Year's Eve by setting fire to a speed camera at around 2:30am. According to La Nouvelle Republique, a burning tire was used to completely destroy the device.

In Lueneburg, Germany on Tuesday a 65-year old man attempted to disable a speed camera by covering it up. Police noticed the man with mask, gloves and a ladder standing by the automated ticketing machine in Amelinghausen before he could complete his mission, Die Welt reported.
