Boulder Wants $1000 Speeding Tickets
Boulder, Colorado is looking to increase speeding ticket fines to $1000.
Embarrassed by having mere $300 fines for speeding -- some $40 less than California's rate -- the city of Boulder is proposing to more than triple their take for speeding offenses. The thousand dollar ticket is not intended to balance the city's budget. It's for safety only!
Article Excerpt:If you're caught speeding 4 to 19 mph over the posted speed limit, you'll pay $500 and if you are speeding at 20 mph or more over the posted speed limit, you'll be slapped with a $1,000 ticket.
